Graduate Study
Williams offers just two graduate programs—each uniquely suited to our small, mission-driven community and our values of faculty-student partnership, academic depth and global purpose.
Graduate Program in the History of Art
The Berkshires are bursting with creative energy, and our deep ties to local arts institutions provide unmatched preparation for aspiring academics, curators, artists and conservators. This two-year program, offered in collaboration with the Clark Art Institute, combines coursework, internships, co-curriculum workshops, independent research and international travel.
The Center for Development Economics
Designed for public-sector economists from low- and middle-income countries who already have practical experience, the 10-month master’s degree program in policy economics at the CDE trains participants to understand the development process more deeply and to formulate thoughtful economic policies. When returning to their home countries, CDE graduates are prepared to think, write and speak like rising policymakers.
