Report on Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Fiscal Year 2009
Summary: Greenhouse gas emissions in 2009 dropped 10% from 2008 levels to approximately 19,600 metric tonnes of eCO2. In 1990/91 Williams’ greenhouse gas emissions were approximately 21,000 metric tonnes annually. Lori van Handel to manage Sustainable Food and Agriculture Initiative at Williams
Lori van Handel has joined the Zilkha Center for Environmental Initiatives at Williams to manage the college’s Sustainable Food and Agriculture Initiative. Lori has extensive experience with the sustainable food movement, having served as leader for SlowFood Western Massachusetts convivium (chapter), and as a member of the Board of the farm-to-table sustainable food advocacy group Berkshire Grown. A reusable water bottle for the rest of us: available for purchase at Grab N Go.
Upperclassmmen, faculty and staff don't need to feel left out: water bottles will be available for sale at Grab N Go.
In 2008, Williams College used over 30,000 disposable water bottles, but we're committed to reducing that number. Please help us by using a reusable bottle.
