ECCD - Boston & New York

What is ECCD?

Maximize your career search efforts! Interview for multiple positions in one day! Participate in our off-campus consortia recruitment programs! Eastern College Career Days – Boston and New York provide seniors from Williams College, Amherst College, Bowdoin College, Colgate University, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, St. Lawrence University, Skidmore College, and Wesleyan University the opportunity to interview in Boston and New York City.

ECCD - Boston

Each fall, usually in November, employers representing finance, consulting, insurance, education, government/law, research and technology gather in a conference site in downtown Boston to conduct interviews with preselected candidates from member schools.

ECCD - New York

Each spring, usually before or during Spring Break, employers representing medicine/healthcare/laboratory research, education, advertising/public relations/marketing, publishing/print media, non-profit/community activism, law, education, finance and consulting gather at site in New York to conduct interviews with preselected candidates from member schools. Information about this event will appear sometime in early January.


How To Apply?

  1. The url is http://eccdb.erecruiting.com/er/security/login.jsp
    • Universal Browse Only account for students (so that students can view information before deciding to apply)
    • Username: Studentuser
    • Password: ECCD
  2. Under Jobs & Internships, select "Job/Internship Search". Under Opportunity Type, select "Job" and choose the "Select" button.
  3. You can review the organization overviews and job descriptions. You can sort this information by employer name, job, or location.
  4. If you are interested in applying for any of these jobs, please sign out of the universal browser and register for ECCD.
  5. Go back to http://eccdb.erecruiting.com/er/security/login.jsp
  6. Under Student Box, select "Create Account” Please create a new username and password for the ECCD site.
  7. Please complete your profile. The following sections are not relevant for ECCD-New York: Your Experience Preferences, E-mails and Newsletters, Personalization, and Demographic Statistics. These sections have been inserted by Experience. Please make sure to deselect any checked boxes under e-mails and newsletters. Provide very limited information under the required sections in “Personalization” and “Demographic Statistics”.
  8. After completing your profile, go back to Jobs and Internships and choose “Jobs and Internships Search.” Then you can select the “Search” button to review all of the organizations and job descriptions.
  9. The maximum number of organizations that you can apply to is 13.
  10. The DEADLINE to apply for ECCD-New York is on Friday, February 1, 2008. ECCD-New York pages for DEADLINES.
  11. If you choose to participate in ECCD, you must read the Addendum to the OCC Code of Conduct Policy for ECCD and return the acknowledgement form via e-mail. This form will be sent to students registered for ECCD.
  12. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT COMPANIES WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT ECCD.
  13. Please check the ECCD-New York site frequently for additional participating organizations and for other updates.
