Convocation
It is customary to mark the beginning of the academic year by holding a formal Convocation during the early weeks of the fall semester.
Informal gatherings
Thoughout the year, the class celebrates many other milestones. The class is encouraged to build community and forge relationships that help them during the year in study groups, as well as later when they return home. The Annual CDE Holiday Party was held at the end of the fall semester. At the party, the current class celebrated a recent marriage (Erhan and Farhana) and shared the moment with friends and faculty (CDE Professors Kuttner and Caprio to the right).
