Asian American Studies
Join a vibrant, interdisciplinary field rooted in student activism
The Asian American Studies program launched in 2023-2024 following decades of student activism, alumni engagement, and faculty labor. Our community is composed of faculty from many programs and departments across campus and students in multiple majors, clubs, and sports, complemented by an array of guest speakers and a dedicated alumni network. All students are welcome to explore intellectual curiosities and creative passions through our program. We offer a flexible Concentration that requires 5 courses and a final portfolio.
Interested in exploring AAS at Williams?
Get started by reaching out to the program Chair or one of our faculty members, or by chatting with a current concentrator. You can also read about past and current AAS courses, and enroll in one of our “gateway” courses during the registration period.
For Current Students
Current students can log in to access class resources, additional details on the senior portfolio project requirements, and more.
